D5’s NBC among girls’ leaders at West Central meet

In District 5, District 6, LHAC, Northern Bedford, Track and Field, WestPAC on May 2, 2009 at 8:48 am

Northern Bedford, powered by three wins from Taylor Crawford, scored a third-place finish on the girls side of the West Central Coaches meet Friday afternoon.

Crawford took top individual honors in the long jump, triple jump and 100 hurdles, according to the Altoona Mirror.

The Daily American notes that Windber’s Sarah Snyder set a new meet record with her efforts in the 300 hurdles.

The hurdles victory even established a new meet record at 15.18 seconds. The old record holder? Also Taylor Crawford.

With 26 points, the Shade girls were the top Somerset County team, finishing tied for ninth. Northern Cambria won the Class AA team title.
