Shubik shooting for successful first camp

Former North Star great Drew Shubik is headed back to the area to conduct a basketball camp in Kantner in June.

According to information in The Daily American, Shubik’s camp will be for players grade 3 and up, and will run from June 8-12 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Shubik just completed his first season of professional basketball in Europe where he played for the Bochum Astrostars. He also played NCAA Division I basketball  for Sacred Heart.

Shubik will be assisted at the camp by his brother, Monte, a video coordinator for the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. Shubik also plans to have a host of coaches from other area schools to assist in the camp.
