Somerset baseball bounces Forest Hills with monster inning

In Baseball, District 6, Forest Hills, LHAC, Somerset on April 18, 2009 at 9:28 am

It just takes one good half-inning sometimes.

Of course, when that half-inning lasts an hour and brings in a dozen runs, that’s all you need.

The Golden Eagles trailed by four on the road entering the top of the third inning and led by eight in the bottom half, according to today’s Tribune-Democrat.

The Golden Eagles stayed perfect this season through six games by dispatching the Rangers 13-5 in a meeting of Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference power players.

Somerset sent 18 batters to the plate in the pivotal frame. Chase Dykstra had a three-run homer, two-run single and scored twice in the third inning.
