Township’s Nanna records hit No. 100

In Baseball, Conemaugh Township, Ferndale, WestPAC on March 25, 2009 at 9:58 am

The Conemaugh Township baseball team opened its season Tuesday with an 11-8 win
over WestPAC North foe Ferndale. Nick Croyle picked up the win in relief of
Joe Roman.

Croyle threw 4 1/3 innings without allowing a hit and helped his own cause with a 4-for-4 day at the plate.

Jarod Nanna and Roman pounded out three hits each. Nanna’s first was a single that marked his 100th career hit. His second hit was a towering solo home run to left field. Mike Lysic and Kyle Zambanini collected two hits each in the Indians’ 16-hit attack.

The Indians host North Star today in the season’s home opener.
