McCort hockey iced in Penguin Cup final

In Bishop McCort, Hockey, PIHL on March 24, 2009 at 9:58 pm

Bishop McCort hit the ice at Mellon Arena for the second straight game, but came up a goal short in its bid for a Penguin Cup championship, falling to Mars 3-2.

The Planets, the No. 1 seed, held off the Crushers late as No. 3 Bishop McCort tried to pull the game even.

The Crimson Crushers enjoyed a great season, including knocking off No. 2 Serra Catholic 9-3 in the Penguin Cup semifinal contest last week.

Congratulations to Bishop McCort for making it to the Penguin Cup, which acts as the Western Final in the PIHL!
